Lots of things can be pelletized. But lots can't be. Here are some examples of my experimentation with different products. If you would like me to pelletize some of your product so you will know how it will work before you spend all that money on a mill, just drop me a line on the contact page and we can discuss what you want to pelletize and where to send the sample of your product.
A customer wants me to make some pellets from a box of very dry switchgrass that he has sent to me.
In this video a sales prospect from Corvalis Oregon has sent a 41lb bag of mixed seeds, stems, husks etc. from a seed plant. The idea is to make animal feed pellets from this waste material.
In this video a prospective customer from has sent me a bale of Alfalfa Hay to make pellets.
When I was cutting and splitting firewood I had a small mountain of left over tree bark. I scooped up a couple of garbage bags full and made pellets from it. It burned very well but ash content was a bit high, I estimate 3 to 4 % ash.
In this video I pelletize fuel pellets from peat moss sent to me by a prospective customer in McGrath Alaska. It made very fine pellets that burned very well with low ash observed. It was very similar to Lignite Coal in both heat and ash.
In this Video Rick Dilly from Alaska Cozy Coal came by and we made coal pellets from coal dust and small screened coal.
In this video, a malasian customer has taken delivery of an 1100 lb per hour mobile plant. At the end of a very long day of assembling this plant it is finally ready for startup. This is part one of a two part video. Sorry, the language spoken is not English. But the looks on faces tells a story in itself.
This is part two of the first run of the Malasian Pellet Plant making its first batch of pellets. Sorry, it is not in English. The sun has long since set, but the owner was anxious and wanted to see it run. Nobody wanted to wait for the sun to rise.
I didn't make this video, but it is a good one of the 660 lbs per hour portable pellet plant in action. This unit is skid mounted which makes it easier to move from site to site to make pellets.
Please feel free to send me any questions you may have. I'd be happy to help where ever I can.
